FFIEC Releases the Official 2008 Public HMDA Data

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council; commonly referred to as the FFIEC, released the official 2008 Public HMDA data. Using the loan data submitted by financial institutions, the FFIEC creates aggregate tables for each metropolitan statistical area (MSA) or metropolitan division (MD) (where appropriate), and individual institution disclosure reports. Additional information on The Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and public loan data can be found at http://www.ffiec.gov/hmda/history.htm .
